How much does it cost to hire movers?
Local moves in the Sedona area are billed hourly, and the rate depends on how many movers you need and how long the job takes. A studio or one-bedroom is usually a half-day with two movers; a larger home takes a full crew and a full day. Long-distance and interstate moves are priced as a flat, agreed total before we book anything — no hourly surprises once your belongings are on the truck. Packing materials and specialty items are itemized separately so you can see exactly what you're paying for.
How far in advance should I book my move?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most local moves, and we can often accommodate shorter notice. If you're moving at the end of a month, in summer, or over a holiday weekend, book three to four weeks out — those are the dates that fill first. Long-distance moves need more lead time because we coordinate the truck, the route and your delivery window together. If your dates are tight, call us and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Does Magic Movers US handle long-distance and interstate moves?
Yes. We move households and businesses from Sedona and Northern Arizona to anywhere in the United States, and we bring people the other direction as well. You get one agreed flat price, one crew that knows your load, and a delivery window you can plan around. Your belongings are not handed off to a third-party carrier along the way.
Can you pack my belongings for me?
We can pack everything, or just the parts you'd rather not deal with. Full packing covers every room; partial packing typically means the kitchen, the fragile items, and anything breakable. We also do specialty packing for artwork, mirrors, glass, antiques and electronics — the pieces that need real materials and someone who has packed one before. If you'd rather pack yourself, we'll happily move your boxes.
Do you move artwork, antiques and other high-value items?
That's one of the things we're known for. We handle artwork, antiques, pianos, safes and oversized pieces that require custom crating, padding and sometimes equipment. High-value items are inventoried and handled by crew members with experience in that specific work — not treated like another box. Tell us what you have when you request your quote so we can plan the right protection and the right crew.
Can I hire movers just to load or unload my rental truck or container?
Absolutely, and it's one of our most requested services. If you've rented a truck, a PODS container or a storage unit, we'll supply the professional labor to load or unload it properly. A well-packed load saves you money on the rest of the trip and prevents damage in transit — we load it so nothing shifts.
